Alex Kleyner on Easing Debt for Students Through National Debt Relief’s Scholarship

NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 3, 2025 / For students burdened by unsecured debt, the path to higher education often feels like an uphill battle. However, the newly relaunched National Debt Relief Scholarship Program aims to lighten that load-offering not just financial relief but also a renewed sense of hope.

National Debt Relief will award a total of $25,000 in tuition assistance to college students who are struggling with unsecured debts such as unpaid credit card balances and medical bills. Three winners will receive $10,000, $8,000, and $7,000, respectively, as well as complimentary access to National Debt Relief's award-winning debt settlement program. Through the scholarship program, National Debt Relief hopes to recognize students who have grappled with the weight of unsecured debt and are actively pursuing a brighter future free from its constraints.

Alex Kleyner, CEO and Co-Founder of National Debt Relief and the driving force behind the initiative, expressed a deep commitment to the cause. "Too many people miss out on pursuing their educational goals due to financial challenges. This scholarship is about acknowledging that struggle and supporting students on the path forward."

Beyond tuition assistance, the scholarship also prioritizes financial education, providing recipients with access to SmartPath, a platform designed to help students develop smart financial habits. By equipping the scholarship winners-and all of its clients-with financial literacy tools, National Debt Relief ensures that they have access to the knowledge needed to manage their finances long-term.

"It's not just about giving money-it's about empowering students with the skills and confidence to make informed financial decisions," Alex Kleyner explained. "Dealing with debt can be overwhelming, but with the right support and education, students can work toward a more secure future."

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited institution and have at least $7,500 in qualifying unsecured debt. The award recipients will be selected based on factors including their academic performance and educational goals, the impact of debt on their life, and their vision for a debt-free future. Applications are due by April 30th-in time for the fall semester. See complete Program Terms.

For those who may not be eligible but are still struggling with unsecured debt, National Debt Relief's proven debt settlement program offers a path toward financial stability, helping individuals regain control of their finances. "While the scholarship program offers assistance for college students," says Alex Kleyner, "the team at National Debt Relief is available to support anyone who is struggling with unsecured debts."

For students who are experiencing financial strain, this initiative is a timely reminder that opportunities still exist to reclaim their futures. As Alex Kleyner puts it, "We want to highlight stories that often go unheard-the students who have had to make difficult choices because of debt. Their stories matter, and their resilience is worth recognizing."
