Genasys Announces $1.7M LRAD Order from Asia Pacific Region

​​Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS), the global leader in Protective Communications, today announced a $1.7 million LRAD by Genasys order from a Southeast Asia country. The follow-on order is part of a multi-year program to equip the country’s military with LRAD’s long-range communication and escalation of force (EOF) capabilities.

“Countries in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region are investing in military-tested LRAD systems to enhance communication, safety, and security,” said Chris Roller, Vice President of APAC Business Development for Genasys. “Deploying LRAD systems to Navy, Coast Guard, Army, and Border Guard personnel provides critical long-range communication and EOF resources to secure territorial waters, borders, islands, and critical infrastructure.”

LRAD by Genasys systems feature rugged military construction for reliable operation in extreme environmental conditions. Broadcasting audible hails, warnings, and commands that are clearly heard and understood over wind, engine, and background noise out to 3,000 meters, LRAD is an essential component in Navy and Coast Guard shipboard protection protocols, and Army and Border Security operations.

LRAD maritime systems are used for a variety of missions and operations, including ship-to-ship communication, establishing vessel exclusion zones and restricted areas, interceptions and interdictions, search and rescue, environmental responses, coastal water control, port and shore side security, anti-piracy, maritime immigration encounters, and more.
