Flanagan Law, P.C., an Atlanta personal injury trial firm, has resolved a truck accident case for a client who was sideswiped by an 18-wheeler on an interstate in Atlanta. The trucking company's insurer paid the full settlement demand, and the matter concluded in under 10 months. The settlement amount was not disclosed. The client, Nicholas Hollingsworth, described the case and how it was handled in a review posted to Google in January 2026.
"I was sideswiped by an 18-wheeler on the interstate here in Atlanta, and from day one they took my case seriously and treated me like a real person, not just a file number," Hollingsworth wrote.
The case was handled by the firm's founder and truck acccident lawyer Brendan Flanagan, and attorney Morgan Lyndall. Claims against commercial carriers differ from ordinary car crash claims. The defendant is a motor carrier with its own insurer and defense counsel, and federal safety records on the driver and the truck become part of the evidence.
"Trucking companies and their insurers pay attention to which firms try cases," Flanagan said. "Flanagan Law prepares every case as if a jury is going to hear it. In this case that preparation produced a full recovery without a trial."
Hollingsworth attributed the pace of the resolution to the firm's readiness for trial, writing that the trucking company and its insurer understood they were dealing with lawyers prepared to take the case to court. "Because of that, my case was resolved in under 10 months, and they ultimately paid the full settlement demand," he wrote.
The resolution follows other trucking matters handled by the firm. Flanagan was first chair on the plaintiff's trial team in a Fulton County wrongful death case against a trucking company that returned a $99.9 million verdict, a case covered by Law.com's Daily Report, and the firm's published case results list more than $140 million recovered for clients in verdicts and settlements.
