Santa Claus, opting to let his reindeer rest for the upcoming big night, chose to ask his friends from the LAPD SWAT team chopper him into the children’s holiday party and toy giveaway. Santa then rappelled down the LuskinOIC campus wall to greet the largest crowd the nonprofit organization has ever hosted at Toys & Joy!

Today, the Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) announced that their annual Stand For Kids Gala will take place on Saturday, June 8, at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. The organization will honor the Los Angeles Chargers with the Community Inspiration Award and Students Run LA with the Power of Partnership Award. The Toys & Joy celebration first began to encourage holistic health and foster the spirit of community by ensuring that patients and their siblings receive toys and gifts to enjoy the holiday. The 112-year-old, nonprofit organization strongly believes that community support and collective kindness is an integral part of a patient’s care and healing.

Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC), a leading community organization committed to excellence in pediatric orthopaedics, is thrilled to announce it has received a historic $500,000 grant from The Ahmanson Foundation.

On Wednesday, October 25, from 5-7:30pm, Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) will host their second Annual Ozzie’s Spooktacular event in Los Angeles. Last year’s inaugural event brought over 200 families together at the DTLA campus.

Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) and the UCLA|LuskinOIC Center for Cerebral Palsy will be hosting their inaugural adaptive sports camp, in partnership with Angel City Sports. Children of all abilities with cerebral palsy are invited to join the three-day camp, August 2-4 from 10:00 am-2:30 pm. Campers will be joined by four UCLA Women’s basketball Student-Athletes.

This star-studded event aims to raise funds and awareness for children with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders and advance patient-centered care worldwide.

Cerebral palsy is the most common childhood physical disability in the United States and throughout the world. To educate both professionals and family members engaged with the disorder, a whole-day event will be held by the Center for Cerebral Palsy on March 25 at the UCLA/Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children in Los Angeles. Named after a pioneer in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy, the Margaret Jones Conference on Cerebral Palsy will feature speakers, discussions, and activities designed to update attendees on the latest research and resources, as well as promote systems of community support.
